Braised Peppered Moose Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. lean moose steaks (any shoulder or leg cut; hind quarter is best)
    3 c. roughly chopped celery (no leaves, they leave a bitter taste to sauce)
    1 qt. consomme
    12 oz. tomato puree
    6 bay leaves
    3 c. roughly chopped onions
    3 c. roughly chopped carrots
    1 1/2 c. roughly chopped green peppers
    salt, pepper and sugar to taste (sugar used to smooth tomato flavor)
Preparation
    Grind up leftover steak or roast.
    Grind raw potato and onion. Salt and pepper to taste.
    Fry until hot and add leftover gravy if too dry.
