Ingredients

6 slices French bread (1 1/2 inches thick)
6 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 Tbsp. amaretto liquor
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. heavy cream
Preparation

Place the French bread slices in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Mix together well the eggs, salt, brown sugar, almond extract, amaretto, nutmeg and heavy cream.
Pour over the French bread. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight.
Next morning fry in butter on griddle over medium heat and serve with maple syrup.
