Mother'S Ice Cream(6 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. scalded milk
    6 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Heat milk
    and\tadd eggs.
    Stir while eggs are cooking. Mix flour with\ta
    small
    amount
    of
    hot
    milk
    and then stir mixture into
    milk\tand stir while heating.
    Add sugar and set off stove to\tcool.
    If there is time enough, place in refrigerator overnight
    to
    cool.
    Add
    vanilla.
    Pour into 1 gallon hand-turned
    ice
    cream
    freezer and layer crushed ice and ice cream
    salt around bucket until freezer is full.
    Freeze until too hard to turn and cover with old newspaper and plastic bag.
