Caramel Popcorn And Peanuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. popped corn
    2 c. Virginia peanuts
    1 c. oleo
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine oleo, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.
    Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Pour a steady stream of syrup over popped corn and peanuts.
    Mix well.
    Put in a 250\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes. Store in airtight container.
    Makes about 5 quarts.
