Carrots Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. carrots, fresh scraped and diced
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. onion, finely diced
    1/4 c. flour
    4 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper sauce (optional)
    1/4 tsp. marjoram (optional)
    1/4 lb. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook carrots.
    Saute onion in butter; blend in flour.
    Remove from heat and stir in milk; return to heat and thicken.
    Stir in salt, pepper sauce, marjoram
    and cheese.
    Add carrots to sauce. Bake in casserole dish for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
