Apricot Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. quick oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    jam (apricot, raspberry, strawberry, etc.)
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix in oats and brown sugar.
    Cut in 3/4 cup butter or margarine as for pie crust. Divide in half.
    Put a little over half in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pat gently.
    Cover with jam (apricot, raspberry, strawberry, etc.). Cover with remaining crumbs.
    Pat gently.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Cool completely before cutting.
