Special Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 shallot, chopped
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. whipping cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    2 1/2 lb. red potatoes, unpeeled and cut into 1/8-inch slices
    1 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
    1 garlic clove, minced
Preparation
    Saute garlic, shallot and crushed red pepper in butter in a Dutch oven for 2 minutes.
    Add milk and next 3 ingredients, stirring well.
    Add potatoes; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    Spoon into a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle with Swiss and Parmesan cheeses.
