Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk, beaten
2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) chocolate bar (Hershey)
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk well. Add salt, vanilla and flour. Put on cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes. While hot, break chocolate and place on top.
Sprinkle nuts on top, then cut into squares while hot.
