Date Nut Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. dates, pitted and chopped
    1 lb. brown sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add salt and vanilla; beat until egg whites hold peaks.
    Add brown sugar, a few tablespoons at a time and continue beating until mixture forms glossy, pointed peaks.
    Fold in dates and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto unglazed brown paper on cookie sheet.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven 20 to 25 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from paper to wire rack.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
