Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. powdered sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream the shortening, margarine and sugars well.
    Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
    Mix well.
    Chill dough about 30 minutes and then roll well rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.
    Dip each ball top into granulated sugar and flatten slightly on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 7 to 9 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven until set.
    Do not overbake.
    Remove from cookie sheet and cool well before storing.
