Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 egg
    1/3 c. oil
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    8 oz. cream-style corn
    1 small jalapeno pepper, chopped fine
Preparation
    Mix together and bake in a 450\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes.
