Irish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. oil
    3 lb. beef, cubed
    3 white onions, chopped
    2 c. beef stock
    1 lb. carrots, chopped
    1 lb. parsnips, chopped
    1 lb. rutabagas, chopped
    1 lb. potatoes, chopped
    2 c. dark beer
Preparation
    Heat a pan with oil.
    Saute meat until well done.
    You may have to cook meat in 3 separate batches.
    Remove meat.
    Using same oil, saute onions for 8 minutes.
    Add meat back to pan.
    Pour beer and beef stock in; cover.
    Let cook for 1 hour on low heat.
    Add vegetables; cover.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
