Frosty Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. (10 oz.) strawberries, thawed
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry or mixed fruit Jell-O
    1 pt. vanilla or strawberry ice cream
Preparation
    Drain strawberries.
    Measure syrup.
    Add water to syrup to make 1 cup.
    Bring liquid to a boil.
    Add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
    Spoon in ice cream, stirring until melted and smooth. Chill about 20 minutes.
    Fold in strawberries.
    Chill until firm (at least 2 hours).
    Garnish with whip cream.
