Marinated Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans French-style string beans, drained
    1 can small English peas, drained
    1 (4 oz.) jar diced pimento (complete)
    onions, bell pepper and celery to taste
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    2 Tbsp. paprika
Preparation
    Mix together and heat vegetables.
    Then add sugar, vinegar, cooking oil and paprika.
    Stir well and let stand at least overnight.
    This improves with age.
    I find LeSueur peas are best. I also find it is better if made 4 or 5 days in advance.
    I've never seen it spoil.
    Is delicious with cornbread dressing.
