Braised Brisket Of Beef - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 brisket (3 1/2 to 4 1/2 lb.)
2 1/2 c. beef broth
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. dried dill
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
juice of 1 lemon
1 bay leaf
Preparation

Melt the shortening in a Dutch oven and saute the onion and garlic, being careful not to burn the garlic.
When the onion is translucent, transfer onion and garlic to a dish and save.
