Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 well beaten eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 (9 oz.) pkg. mincemeat
3 Tbsp. water
1 c. walnuts
Preparation

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients.
Add 1/2 to cream mixture.
Add finely crumbled mincemeat and water and stir until blended.
Add nuts and remaining flour mixture.
Mix well.
