Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. very ripe bananas, mashed
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Mix and sift together; flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition.
    Add bananas; mix well.
    Add 1/4 of the flour mixture at a time; beat until smooth after each addition.
    Stir in nuts.
    Turn into a well greased loaf pan.
    Bake 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or until bread tests done.
    Cool on rack before slicing.
