Drop Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. molasses
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Sift 6 cups flour with salt and spices.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and beat until light.
    Add molasses and vinegar, then dry ingredients.
    Lastly, add soda dissolved in hot water. Cool and then drop by small tablespoon.
    Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool on rack.
