Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. bag Geiser's corn pops (hulless)
    1 lb. peanuts
    3 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In large roasting pan, mix corn pops and nuts; set aside.
    In saucepan, combine sugar, butter and corn syrup.
    Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
    Take off heat; add baking soda and stir.
    Mixture will foam.
    Pour mixture over corn pops and nuts; toss to mix.
    Bake, uncovered, at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Turn out on wax paper to cool.
    Store in airtight container.
