Cornflake Crunchies - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. corn flakes
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Lightly grease cookie sheet. In large bowl cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, milk and orange peel. Stir in flour and baking powder. Add cereal and nuts mixing well. Drop by level tablespoon onto prepared cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 5 dozen.
