Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. rolled oats
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, stir together all ingredients.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Place on ungreased baking sheets.
    Flatten with fingers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
    Do not overbake. Remove cookies from pan and cool on wire racks.
    Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
