Corn Meal Mush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Stir together until smooth the cornmeal, salt and 1 cup cold water.
    In a heavy saucepan bring to boil 4 cups of water.
    Add the soaked corn meal, stirring constantly.
    Cook and stir 2 minutes. Cover and reduce heat to low and cook about 20 to 30 minutes. Hominy grits can be used instead of cornmeal.
