Meaty Vegetable Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Beef Stew Meat cut into 1/2 inch cubes
    1/2 lb. Boneless Chicken, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
    1 to 2 Tbsp. Cooking Oil
    3 1/2 c. Water
    3 Medium Carrots, cubed
    2 Zucchini, cubed
    2 Tomatoes, cubed
    1 Medium Onion, cubed
    1 Medium Turnip, cubed
    1 Green or Sweet Red Pepper, chopped
    2 cans Dark Red Kidney Beans (30 oz. ea.),rinsed & drained
    1 Bottle Chili Sauce (12 oz.)
Preparation
    In a large Dutch Oven, brown the beef and chicken in oil over med-hi heat.
    Drain and add: water, carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, turnip, and green or red pepper; bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, or until the beef is tender.
    Add the beans and chili sauce; simmer for 15 minutes longer.
    Yeilds 16 servings or 4 quarts.
