Creamy Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni (this equals 1 2/3 c. uncooked macaroni)
    4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (8 oz.) sour cream
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. chopped onions
    1 c. cheese crackers, crushed
Preparation
    Bring water and salt to a boil in a large Dutch oven.
    Stir in macaroni.
    Return to a rapid bowl and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until tender; drain.
    Rinse with cold water and drain.
