Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 bottles red food coloring
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Make a paste of cocoa and food coloring.
    Add paste to batter.
    Add flour alternately with buttermilk.
    Mix soda and vinegar in small bowl. Add to batter.
    Beat well.
    Bake in three 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Let cool and frost.
