Batter-Fried Franks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. franks
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    hot salad oil
Preparation
    Combine first 3
    ingredients
    and then stir in second 3 ingredients until smooth.
    Insert
    a
    wooden skewer into 1 end of franks.
    Fry in hot oil and sprinkle with cheese while hot. Yields 8 to 10 servings.
