She-Crab Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. ground mace
    2 pieces lemon peel
    1 lb. fresh white crabmeat
    1/2 stick butter
    1 pt. half and half
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1/4 c. cracker crumbs, finely crushed
    2 tsp. sherry
Preparation
    In
    double
    boiler,
    combine milk, mace and lemon peel. Let simmer 7 minutes.
    Add crabmeat, butter and half and half, stirring
    carefully.
    Heat
    over boiling water for 15 minutes. Season
    to
    taste.
    Remove
    lemon peel and add cracker crumbs. Stir in sherry and serve.
    Serves 6.
