Asparagus Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. asparagus, cut
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. dry thyme
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 to 3 Tbsp. flour mixed with 1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. white cooking sherry
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    In a pot melt butter.
    Add oregano, thyme, garlic and asparagus.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Add flour, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.
    Cool 2 minutes, then add broth.
    Stir and simmer until thick.
    Add wine and milk and allow to come to boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Serves 6 to 8.
