Hot Dog Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. onions
    12 green bell peppers
    12 green tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 head cabbage
    8 red bell peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    4 c. cider vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Grind all vegetables through food chopper.
    Mix well.
    Put into a crock or plastic container (not metal).
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup salt over this.
    Cover and let stand overnight.
    Drain and rinse. The best way to rinse without losing part of it is to put it into a cloth sack.
    You can run water through and squeeze until it is rinsed good.
    Put into a large pan.
    Add all other ingredients and cook to a boil.
    Boil for 3 minutes.
    Pour into jars and seal.
