Pumpkin Bread #2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. mashed pumpkin
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. each: nutmeg and cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar in bowl.
    Beat in eggs and pumpkin. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with 2/3 cup water, mixing well after each addition.
    Stir in vanilla and pecans. Pour into two greased loaf pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing.
    Yields 20 servings.
