Cherry Chip Cream Cheese Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. Betty Crocker cherry chip cake mix
    1/2 c. flaked coconut (if desired)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter and cheese until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg, vanilla and half of the cake mix (dry) until smooth.
    Stir in remaining cake mix and the coconut.
