Fettucine Alfredo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. oil
2 c. uncooked wide egg noodles
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
dash of pepper
dash of freshly grated nutmeg (if desired)
Preparation

Combine water, salt and oil in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Gradually add noodles, maintaining a boil.
Reduce heat to slow boil.
Cook, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes, stirring once, until tender.
Drain in a strainer or colander.
Return noodles to saucepan, or put in a warm chafing dish or electric skillet to finish at table.
Fold and stir until melted.
Pour in whipping cream.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Fold and stir until cream is partially absorbed and cheese is melted.
Just before serving, add pepper and nutmeg, if desired.
Makes two servings.
