Edna'S No Mistake Yellow Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sliced yellow squash (2 to 3)
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped sweet red pepper
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    3/4 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. grated medium Cheddar cheese
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
    1/2 c. crushed cracker crumbs
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook squash, onion and green and red sweet peppers in melted margarine over medium heat for 7 to 9 minutes or until vegetables are slightly softened.
    Thoroughly mix mayonnaise, cheese, egg, sugar and seasonings into vegetables. Spoon into a 2 1/2 quart baking dish that has been sprayed with nonstick coating.
    Sprinkle with cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until bubbly and browned.
    Makes 8 servings.
