Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1 can creamed corn
1 large onion
2 garlic cloves
1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Chop garlic, onions and peppers very finely.
Add all ingredients, except cheese.
Use bacon drippings in skillet.
Pour 1/2 of mixture into pan.
Add cheese and add remaining batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
