Many Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. spinach, chopped stems too
    3 hard-cooked eggs
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    1/4 lb. bacon, cubed fine and cooked crisp
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) can LeSueur peas
    1 qt. lettuce (Boston head), chopped fine
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced thin
    3/4 c. mayonnaise, mixed with 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Layer in order given, spreading ingredients evenly.
    Cover closely with Saran Wrap and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
    Mix before serving.
