Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 saltines, rolled fine
    1 pkg. chopped sugared dates
    1/4 c. pecans, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients together.
    Add egg whites and almond extract.
    Pour into well buttered pie pan.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with whipped cream.
    Serves 6 to 8.
