Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. softened butter
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. powdered ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
pinch of salt
3/4 c. dark molasses
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Blend butter, sugar, spices and salt. Beat until fluffy.
Add molasses, milk and vanilla.
Beat thoroughly.
Continue beating and add flour gradually.
(Dough will pull from sides of bowl.)
Form flattened ball, wrap in waxed paper and chill for 2 hours or more.
Roll out on floured board and cut or mold shapes.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Cool cookies on rack.
Roll over and over and still have chewy cookies!
Yield: 5 dozen.
