Stuffed Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. small mushrooms
    4 slices bacon
    5 tsp. green pepper, chopped
    1/8 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 med onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    6 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Remove bacon from grease and add all ingredients except mushrooms, cream cheese, and bread crumbs. Cook until tender and then add cream cheese. Remove stems from mushrooms and stuff mounds with cream cheese mixture.
    Place in a baking dish and add 1/4 cup hot water.
    Spread bread crumbs on top and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
    Insert a toothpick into each to serve.
