Mother'S Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 small hot red peppers
    10 large green peppers
    10 large red peppers
    6 large onions, finely chopped
    1 tsp. celery seed (optional)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. vinegar (1 1/4 qt.)
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Grind
    the
    peppers
    and
    place in a large mixing bowl. Pour enough boiling water over the peppers to cover;
    let set 10 minutes.
    Drain; add onions and celery seed if using.
    Set aside. In\tlarge
    saucepan,
    boil\tvinegar,
    salt\tand
    sugar together. While
    boiling
    add
    pepper-onion mixture.\tBoil up well.
    Pour into jars and seal.
