Blond Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 sticks margarine, melted
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. hot water
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    3/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans)
Preparation
    Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
    Combine the margarine, brown sugar, hot water and eggs.
    Add flour gradually, beating in well.
    Add vanilla and chocolate chips.
    Add nuts. Pour into a greased 8 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Let cool.
    Cut into squares.
