Refrigerator Nut Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla.
    Add egg; mix well.
    Sift together the flour, salt and soda; stir into creamed mixture.
    Combine well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Divide dough into 2 portions; wrap each portion in waxed paper.
    Freeze several hours or overnight.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes on greased sheets, 2 inches apart.
    Yields about 3 dozen when sliced 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick.
