Standard Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    6 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Combine flour and salt in large mixing bowl.
    Cut in shortening (do not use hands) until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water evenly over surface.
    Stir with fork until all dry particles are moistened.
    Shape into a ball; divide into 2 parts. Roll each into a 12-inch circle.
    Fit into 9-inch pie plate and crimp edges.
    Yields 2 crusts for 9-inch pies or for pie with top crust.
