Orange Shortbread Squares - cooking recipe

2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. Davis Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup Blue Bonnet Margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1/3 cup orange juice
2 Tbsp. grated orange peel
confectioner's sugar
Preparation

In small bowl, combine 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt. In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, beat margarine and 1/2 cup sugar until light and fluffy. At low speed, gradually stir in flour , mix until well blended. Chill 2 hours. Press dough into 13x9x2 inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. In large bowl, beat eggs, remaining flour and sugar, juice and peel until light and fluffy. Pour over baked layer; Bake 30 minutes more.
Cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Carefully cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
