Homemade Summer Sausage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. hamburger
1 lb. sausage or chicken, ground
2 tsp. liquid smoke
4 Tbsp. Morton curing salt (Tender Quick)
1 tsp. garlic salt
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 c. cold water
Preparation

Mix all together.
Cover and store in refrigerator for 24 hours. Make into four loaves. Wrap in aluminum foil, leaving ends open. Poke holes in bottom of foil. Place loaves on cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 350\u00b0. Slice thin.
Serve with crackers. Keep in refrigerator.
Keeps 4 to 6 weeks.
