Poor Man'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 c. hot water
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 pkg. raisins

Preparation

Put all together in pan.
Bring to boil and boil 5 minutes. Stir frequently.
Let cool and add 2 tablespoons baking soda in 2 tablespoons water and 2 cups flour.
Mix.
Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
