Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 c. water (enough to cover rice)
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cornstarch (optional)
Preparation
    Cover rice with water and boil until water is gone.
    Add milk, sugar, salt and butter and simmer until rice is cooked.
    Beat eggs along with 1 tablespoon milk and cornstarch, then stir a little of the hot mixture into them.
    Add slowly to keep eggs from curdling. Pour egg mixture into milk and rice.
    Stir until well blended. Add vanilla.
    Pour into serving dishes and sprinkle with cinnamon. Can be served hot.
