Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 c. water
2 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup and water until it will spin a thread.
Pour half of it into 2 stiffly beaten egg whites.
Cook other half until it will harden in water.
Pour in other half.
Beat until creamy; pour into buttered dish or drop from spoon.
You may add chopped nuts or coconut as desired but not until it has cooled quite a bit.
If too hot, it will draw out the oil and it will not harden.
