Irish Whole Wheat Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix first 6 ingredients together. Rub in butter.
Mix in buttermilk until dry ingredients are moist and away from sides of bowl.
(Mix with your hands.)
Knead on a floured board until smooth.
Flatten dough ball until it is 2-inches high.
Cut a cross on top with knife.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour on wire rack. (You can start baking on cookie sheet until bottom is firm enough for rack.) Delicious with corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day.
