Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Add egg and enough milk to make it soft enough to drop with a spoon.
Drop in hot fat and cook until brown.
Serve with butter.
