Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 1 pint oysters
    small onion
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add onion and cook until soft.
    Add oysters, cooking about 1 1/2 minutes or until edges begin to curl.
    Add milk and cook until hot (do not boil).
    Add salt and pepper and stir.
    Serve hot.
